GLEN, N.H.- Storyland, the iconic amusement park, which many new Englanders have fond childhood memories of are now planning a Nostalgia Night, for all of those former children who are now 21+. “Everyone has nostalgia about Storyland. Everyone has a memory of coming here as a child with their parents or grandparents. We are giving them a chance to relive their childhood,” said Lauren Hawkins Director of Marketing at Storyland.” The event will be held on June 22nd from 6-10 p.m. the first night of summer.
Along with a variety of rides, the original Storyland Pumpkin Coach which was at one time pulled by horses and Freddie the Fire Truck will be available for photo opportunities. Cinderella will be at her castle with appearances also being made by Peter Pan, Tinkerbell and Little Red Riding Hood. Music food, and both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages will be available.
Storyland is encouraging those attending to dress in retro outfits, wearing fashions which were popular when they were children. They are also encouraging the re-creation of Storyland childhood photos.
The tickets will be $17 per person in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. “There are a limited number of tickets being released. We expect to sell out.” Pre-sale of tickets will be Friday at 10 a.m. at www.storylandnh.com.
There will be a second release of more tickets at a later date, which will be announced on the Storyland Facebook page. “By the response we are receiving, we expect to be announcing Nostalgia Night as an annual event,” Hawkins said.
