BOSTON, March 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Tufin®, the market-leading provider of Network Security Policy Orchestration solutions, today will officially open the company’s new U.S. headquarters in Boston, MA, with a ribbon-cutting event to celebrate Tufin as the latest successful Israeli-founded cybersecurity company to establish roots in the Boston technology community.
Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker, Consul General of Israel to New England Yehuda Yaakov, and Tufin CEO Ruvi Kitov will speak at the ribbon-cutting, taking place at 1:30pm ET.
“Massachusetts is home to a nation leading innovation economy and we are excited to officially welcome Tufin as the newest member of our thriving cybersecurity cluster,” said Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker. “The Commonwealth has built a strong relationship with the Israeli business community that continues to pay off with the creation of thousands of jobs and we look forward to Tufin’s contributions to Massachusetts’ growing cybersecurity industry.”
The office opening comes on the heels of record-setting growth for Tufin, which saw revenues increase 35 percent year-over-year in 2017, including the largest deal in company history. With global headcount growing at a rate of 25 percent, Tufin’s Boston office initially employs 25 people and is expected to increase at a similar rate.
“Boston continues to lead the way in attracting new companies that bring a range of job opportunities for the benefit of Boston residents and the entire region,” said Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh. “I am pleased to welcome Tufin to our city, which will further strengthen our local cybersecurity sector, while creating new jobs in a growing industry that will have the potential to change the world.”
“Tufin is growing quickly, and Boston is an ideal city for us to rise to even greater heights,” said Ruvi Kitov, CEO of Tufin. “Local business and government leaders have been extremely supportive of our move, and we’re excited to take advantage of all the resources Massachusetts has to offer. Our new U.S. headquarters and the team here in Boston will play a critical role in Tufin’s global growth.”
“With every new Israeli-founded company that sets up shop in the Commonwealth, the ties between the Massachusetts and Israel business communities grow stronger,” said Tim Connelly, Executive Director/CEO of the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MassTech), the public agency that works to support the growth of the innovation economy across Massachusetts. “As MassTech builds out the Commonwealth’s new cybersecurity growth center, the relationship between these two regions is an important one, as cyber companies with Israeli roots are seeing exponential growth and paying major dividends for our state. We’re confident that Tufin will be the next in a long line of successful cybersecurity companies here in Massachusetts.”
The event will be attended by local business and political leaders, including representatives from MassChallenge, the Associated Industries of Massachusetts International Business Council and the New England Israel Business Council. The ribbon-cutting will take place at Tufin’s U.S. headquarters at 2 Oliver Street in Boston.
