GROUCHO ON CRANBERRIES: 60TH Annual West Newbury Turkey Supper

60TH ANNUAL WEST NEWBURY TURKEY SUPPER, SATURDAY, OCT. 6

“Well, Art is Art, isn’t it? Still, on the other hand, water is water. And
east is east and west is west and if you take cranberries and stew them
like applesauce they taste much more like prunes than rhubarb does. Now you
tell me what you know.”   –Groucho Marx

What we know is that no turkey supper is complete without that sweet/tart
smashing dash of red alongside moist roast turkey, dressing,  gravy, mashed
potatoes, squash, coleslaw, rolls and pie: apple, mince meat, and pumpkin
with coffee or tea and cider.  Groucho was a little prune-ish himself but
our cranberry sauce is bold, beautiful and exceptionally good.
