The Faces of Skógafoss
After visiting Seljalandsfoss, we continued on the Ring road towards Vik, arriving at Skógafoss. It was pretty crowded at the base of the waterfall and the mist was drifting out – so I did not photograph the falls from the base. We carefully headed up the steep landscape lined with a wet metal staircase clinging to the rail – about 3/4 of the way up, there was a little path with a viewing area where I took this photo. After continuing up the remainder of the stairs, there is a great view from the top and an amazing path we continued on – with one jaw-dropping landscape after another. The rain / fog / clouds continued, but such is Iceland. I’ll need to see if any photos from the top can be salvaged – if so, I’ll post one next.
Thanks for looking – how many faces do you see?
